Privacy Policy

Effective date: 24 June 2026
Last updated: 24 June 2026

SudoAll (https://sudoall.com) is an informational, educational, and commentary website. We publish free technical articles on Linux, AI, and related topics. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, how the Site handles information.

Our commitment

We do not gather server logs, parse traffic logs, or build visitor profiles ourselves. We do not sell personal data. We do not share visitor data with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.

Guarantee: To the best of our technical ability, information stored through normal WordPress operation stays on our systems and is not used by us for marketing, profiling, or resale, and is not shared with third parties. The one exception is anonymized aggregate analytics through Google Analytics 4 (see Section 3.3), configured using Google’s standard privacy settings.

If you contact us by email, we use your message only to respond.

1. Who operates this Site?

Site operator: SudoAll
Operator: David Saliba
Contact: ds@sudoall.com

Questions about this policy or a privacy request: email ds@sudoall.com.

2. What this Site is (and is not)

SudoAll is for information, education, and commentary. You can read articles without creating an account. We are not a social network, marketplace, or logged-in service for general readers.

This policy covers the Site only. Articles may link to external websites, tools, or services. Those third parties have their own privacy practices.

3. What information exists, and why

3.1 What we do not do

  • We do not collect or review server access logs for visitor monitoring.
  • We do not operate our own analytics database or visitor tracking dashboard.
  • We do not use your data for advertising or behavioural targeting.
  • We do not sell or rent personal data.

3.2 What WordPress stores by default

WordPress, like most publishing software, may store limited technical or user-supplied information needed to run the Site:

  • Reading articles: no account is required. We do not ask you to register to browse content.
  • Comments (if you choose to post one): WordPress stores the name, email address, optional website URL, comment text, and standard comment metadata (such as IP address and browser user agent) that WordPress records automatically for comment management. This data is kept in our WordPress database on our server.
  • Site search: if you use the search box, WordPress processes your search query to return results. We do not use search queries to profile visitors.
  • Essential cookies: WordPress may set strictly necessary cookies for basic site functions (for example comment form state or cache behaviour).
  • Email contact: if you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information you include so we can reply.

We use this stored information only to operate the Site (publish content, display comments, reply to messages, maintain security). We do not use it for unrelated purposes and do not share it with third parties.

3.3 Anonymized analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 through Google Site Kit to understand aggregate readership (for example how many people visit, which pages are read, and general traffic sources). This is the only third-party data processing we use for visitor measurement.

Analytics is implemented using Google’s standard Site Kit integration, configured for privacy:

  • IP anonymization enabled (Google’s standard anonymized collection setting).
  • Google Signals disabled (no cross-device advertising signals).
  • Ad personalization disabled (no advertising profile building).
  • Logged-in WordPress users excluded from tracking where Site Kit supports it.

We use analytics only for aggregated statistics to improve content. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, build marketing profiles, or sell data. Google processes anonymized/aggregated event data under Google’s own privacy terms: https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

3.4 Public CDN resources

Some pages load fonts or open-source code libraries from public content delivery networks (for example Google Fonts or cdnjs). When your browser requests those files, it connects directly to the CDN provider. We do not pass visitor lists or identities to those providers through our application.

4. Hosting and infrastructure

The Site is hosted on infrastructure operated by DigitalOcean, LLC in the United States. Like any hosting provider, the infrastructure layer may create transient technical records (for example connection or error logs) outside our WordPress application. We do not retrieve, analyse, or use those infrastructure logs.

5. How long information is kept

  • Comments: kept while published on the Site, unless you ask us to remove them and we are not legally required to keep them.
  • Email correspondence: kept only as long as needed to handle your message and reasonable follow-up.
  • WordPress administrative data: kept as needed to operate and secure the Site.
  • Google Analytics data: retained by Google according to our Analytics property settings (aggregate reports only).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise these rights, email ds@sudoall.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and, where the GDPR applies, within one month.

EEA and UK users: you may also contact your local data protection authority. EU authority contacts: European Data Protection Board members. UK users: Information Commissioner’s Office.

7. California residents

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as defined under California law. To submit a privacy request, email ds@sudoall.com with the subject line “California Privacy Request”.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect the Site, including HTTPS in transit and restricted administrative access. No online system is perfectly secure, but we do not expose visitor data to marketing platforms or data brokers.

9. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The dates at the top show when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
